Airway Heights sits on an open plateau with nothing between it and the weather. Systems funnel through the Highway 2 corridor year-round, and that wind is the defining variable in how long a paint job lasts here — more than the paint grade, more than the color, more than the sun. The failure pattern is consistent enough that we can usually predict it before we get out of the truck. It starts at edges and penetrations: the bottom lip of lap siding, trim junctions, the seams around hose bibs and dryer vents, window and door casings on the west and north elevations. Wind drives rain sideways into any gap, moisture gets behind the film, and the coating lifts from the back. By the time it is visible as peeling, water has usually been in the substrate for a season or two. So the work that matters in Airway Heights is not the topcoat, it is everything underneath it. Every penetration gets sealed. Every trim junction gets cut out and re-caulked with an elastomeric that stays flexible through freeze-thaw rather than the cheap acrylic that cracks in two winters. Edges get back-primed where we can reach them. On the west elevation we will often spec a full extra coat, because that wall is doing more work than the other three combined. If you have orders with a report date and need a move-out repaint done to a standard that will pass inspection, tell us the date up front. We will either commit to it or tell you honestly that we cannot — we would rather lose the job than leave you scrambling two weeks before you hand over keys. Along Highway 2 and around Northern Quest the work is mostly commercial: retail frontage, restaurant exteriors, hospitality. Those we schedule around trading hours, which usually means early mornings or overnight rather than the middle of a Saturday.
